Imagine you are a secret agent living in the 1st century. Then Agent 'K' comes on the video link and very much in 'Mission Impossible' style gives you your mission.

You are to spy on 'our man', an ex-carpenter from Nazareth, he is causing quite a stir by healing people, preaching and even raising the dead!

You have access to 21st century technology to do this, including a huge computer data-base about him. Can your team file a video report that will satisfy 'K'?

Agents researching

SPIES is a holiday club for children ages 7-13. The children are secret agents in the 1st century and they are charged to find out as much about Jesus as possible. They are set a mission each day and this is backed up by a worksheet which leads them through the material. Clips from 'The Miraclemaker' are used each day to illustrate an incident in Jesus's life. There are laptops running 'ILumina'available for research and it is amazing how quickly children learn to use this package to the full - the older ones have to be dragged away from them.

It's not all work though. There are the usual games and crafts, agents 'X' and 'Y' are there to show us how not to be spies and there is a code to solve each day.

When the youngsters have completed their report it is videoed and sent to 'K'. These are then played the next morning as a reminder of the next days work.

SPIES can cope with up to 24 children. The age range is slightly higher than most Holiday Clubs because some level of literacy is required to get the most out of this club.

Each day we see agents X,Y and Z SPIES is only available in a package where Mike comes to your church and leads the Holiday club. This is ideal for churches that have never run a club before. All equipment is supplied including data projection, laptops and software.

The minimum package is 5 days, but we would recommend booking a preparation day about 6 weeks before and it would also be a good idea to have Mike lead the following Sunday Service.

Other family friendly events or IT training evenings can be built into the same week transforming the club into a week of mission to families in your area.

Do also consider using it during term time. It would be easy to run the clun after school each day, probably after having given the children some tea. The advantage is that none will be away on holiday!

Check out the free weeks in the diary. Look for dates in blue or red. If you want Mike to lead the service on Sunday then this day should be also be in red.
