The course is primarily designed to prepare worship leaders for the task of planning and then leading worship. It can also be used as part of a programme of continued development for Worship Leaders and Preachers.

The course is designed around the premise that worship leading and preaching are two distinct callings and giftings and that preachers should preach and worship leaders should lead worship.
